Camping: Amphitheater
The Amphitheater campground is located just outside of the town of Ouray.
Head South on highway 550, about two miles from town you’ll see the sign for the campground.
Hang a left and continue up to the campground, this campground is settled into the pines above the valley that cradles Ouray. There are many things
to do nearby, hiking, biking, and four wheeling are but a few activities.
While you are here check out the many mining areas and other tidbits of
history to explore in the area.
If you decide to partake in any of the physical activities located nearby be
sure and soak your tired bones in the Ouray or Orvis hot springs.
There are 35 campsites available. As this is a popular spot in the summertime, reservations are recommended.
